This position will play a meaningful role on the customer leadership team, helping the team to execute on strategic priorities for an important healthcare customer, consistently and with high quality. The Program Manager role is designed to bring efficiency, process, and standardization to the organization and will work alongside of and interact with customer stakeholders and various leads across SAS. The Program Manager must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment and have strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills. Primary responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities

    Works closely with larger teams comprised of (R&D, Delivery, Sales, Customer Advisory, Customer Success) and customer stakeholders to define program scope, goals and deliver results. Is prepared to step in and actively manage top level initiatives where needed.
  • Achieves operational objectives by making recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. Plans, prioritizes, implements and adjusts schedule, scope, resourcing and quality of the program requirements.

  • Maintains program documentation such as program plans, schedules and status reports; coordinates, communicates, and facilities activities between team members and stakeholders to keep program on schedule.

  • Identifies risks and dependencies to program execution (cross functionally across projects) and effectively manage those risks and dependencies

  • Proactively raises prioritization and scheduling tradeoff decisions.

  • Leverages technical acumen to assist in identifying alternate options as appropriate.

  • Ensures all teams interacting with the customer are setting appropriate deadlines and goals

  • Identifies and monitors key measures related to stakeholder satisfaction and objectives attainment, working jointly with other organizations who share responsibilities for program success.

  • Acts as a central point of contact and the voice of the customer for business and technical issues. Interfaces with interested parties across the Company to ensure program success.

  • Suggests and influences changes by making recommendations regarding processes and/or procedures to improve efficiency, customer service, quality and/or cost savings

  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

Education


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Math or Technical field

  • Master's degree a plus

Experience


  • Healthcare industry experience is desirable

  • Project or Program Management Professional certification desirable

  • Experience with SAS products is helpful

  • Experience working cross functionally with technical and non-technical teams
