We're looking for an experienced and profoundly engaged Product Designer (UX/UI), based in Chicago, IL or virtually, responsible for reimagining employee experiences for 26m users and their families and shipping the next generation of transformative, integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise products. The Product Designer will apply a strong design POV, deep understanding of user experience and set the bar for quality and innovation at Alight. For individual projects, they will work with Product Designers, Product Mangers and Engineers to integrate business requirements into design strategies, interaction, and visual solutions. A balanced understanding of strategy, usability, interaction and visual design is a must. Key Responsibilities

The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
Collaborating with a world-class team of Product Designers, UX Design - Researchers & Content designers
Designs creative solutions for real world problems that help people and organizations thrive
Crafts user scenarios, user flows, information architecture (IA) and pixel-perfect mockups and prototypes that include compelling interactions for websites, mobile apps, native apps and more
Prototype, test, and iterate on designs; evaluates usability of existing systems as well as preliminary designs
Presents research, strategy and design work to internal clients for review
Collaborates effectively with developers, strategists, product managers, executives, Creative Directors and other designers to craft solutions for a variety of different platforms and industries
Facilitates collaborative client discovery and design workshops and participates in ideations
Motivates and champions award-wining Design at all times
Experience in multitasking and working in ambiguous situations
Help support a shared design vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product design and execution
Grow a culture of design and ship with speed, consistency, and quality; rebuilding our culture
Look beyond point solutions and apply design to the creation of new strategies, systems, and-in some cases-entirely new businesses

Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies

The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:
Live and breathe to design the future and have an award-winning portfolio (product, websites, apps, etc) to prove it
Experience with or background in visual design
Advanced UX/UI design skills
Online portfolio of in-market examples of successful user interface design, focused on web and mobile
Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, life-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
Expert knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process
Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Miro/Mural, Invision; HTML, Javascript & CSS a must

Work Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Miro/Mural, Invision; HTML, Javascript & CSS a must
Visual design background
3+ years of experience in designer roles at Design or Digital Agencies, Startups or Fortune 500 companies
3+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering/dev, design and user research teams
