Job Overview:

The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for creating and supporting a product vision that is aligned with a variety of stakeholders across the enterprise. The ideal candidate uses their analytical and technical skills to translate the customer vision and the users' requirements into work items that the product team can deliver.

Responsibilities:


  • Liaises with the business user/customer as the Product SME


  • Takes the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner


  • Provides vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements


  • Communicates business requirements by documenting epics and stories


  • Ensures that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on


  • Plans and prioritizes product feature backlog and development for the product


  • Defines product vision, road-map and growth opportunities


  • Assesses value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy


  • Provides backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories


  • Works closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI


  • Leads the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities


  • Provides an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals


  • Researches and analyzes market, the users, and the roadmap for the product


  • Assists with internal and external communication


  • Keeps abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in platform management or product management


  • In-depthknowledge of Agile process and principles


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management across multiple partner teams


Preferences:


  • Financial Services industry experience


  • Degree in computer science or similar


  • Working knowledge of SQL (running queries)
