About this Opportunity

Serves as a highly skilled specialist responsible for informing processes that strengthen employee experiences and optimize operational effectiveness, related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Charged with coordinating, assessing, analyzing, and delivering a targeted set of actions in support of key initiatives and programs aligned to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy. Responsible for providing support which enhances experiences, informs, and aligns communication plans, and serves the needs of a multi-facted cross section of HMG stakeholders.



What You'll Do

You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as someone who . . .


  • Serves as the primary point of contact charged with understanding and interpreting requirements which support the implementation of the DEI Strategic Roadmap.



  • Informs and administers process governance, best practices and deploys measurements aligned to the strategy and tactics.



  • Serves as the communications and operational liaison for all HMG Equity Teams.



  • Interfaces with Communications, Legal, HRBP's and Operations leads to integrate flawless execution.



  • Determines root causes of key issues and identifies potential solutions for supporting implementation processes.



  • Develops process documentation and visual diagrams of process flows related to current and proposed state for key initiatives.



  • Gathers DEI requirements from key stakeholders by engaging with internal client base and teams across the organization.



  • Participates in informing and coordinating change management activities.



  • Acts as a collaborative thought partner across the DEI team and strengthens connectivity across team responsibilities.



  • Manage external partner survey inquiries and responses for HMG DEI.



  • Recommends relevant metrics and measurements supporting our strategies.

  • Bachelor's Degree Years in business or operations preferred.

  • Self-directed.



  • Demonstrated high level of project management skills.



  • Possess strong analytical capability, including the ability to assess issues/opportunities, and the consequences associated with a variety of possible actions.



  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.



  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.



  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools currently being used in the Herman Miller office environment.



  • Project management and change management course work/certification preferred.
