This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is looking to serve in a progressive, dynamic outpatient environment, caring for cancer patients, with solid tumor and hematologic malignancies, in an expanded integrated continuum of care environment. Our nurses are disease-based experts who practice in primary nurse teams and deliver evidence-based care including chemo and immunotherapies, clinical trial research drugs, symptom management and supportive care therapies. Unique to our clinics are a nurse-pharmacy advanced clinical evaluation program that allows drugs to be prepared in advance of the patient's arrival and an embedded Urgent Care Clinic. The clinic nurse is a highly skilled and trained provider who is facile, resourceful and resilient.

Oncology competency-based education and training will be provided for the non-oncology nurse.

REQUIREMENTS


  • BSN/MSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program.

  • Applicants with an Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete within 5 years of hire.

  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.

  • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

  • 10 hr shifts - Monday- Saturday

  • Hours 8-6:30pm, with interval late shift coverage from

  • Rotations to Saturday 8-630pm

  • Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 consecutive years of experience in Oncology, is preferred, or 2 consecutive years in a relatable subspecialty

  • Peripheral and central IV access skills preferred. Will be required upon hire.

  • Cardiac monitoring competent preferred. Will be required upon hire.

  • EPIC Trained, preferred.

  • Successful completion of Oncology competency-based education and training for the non-oncology nurse will be required.
