Sayres is seeking an experienced Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Specialist with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
The Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Specialist will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding Program Office and will be responsible for the following:
Apply expert knowledge of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) policy and management for the DDG 51 Class Shipbuilding by performing the following:
Manage and coordinate with Government Program Office and other Naval activities and contractors to monitor and track status of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
Track and report on the status of Government Furnished Equipment financial data in Navy ERP
Participate in reviewing and evaluating GFE cost estimates (7300s) for consistency and completeness hardware, software, ILS, T&E, and configuration and logistics data
Coordinate comment review and adjudication of GFE 7300s within Program Office
Review briefing material and participate in Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) reviews with particular emphasis on cost estimates
Provide GFE input and analysis to the SCN Execution Review (SCN ER)
Maintain detailed records and track financial metrics using MS Excel dashboard
Occasional travel required for this position
Qualifications:
Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or High School diploma or equivalent AND equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
Must possess strong organizational and time management skills; the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; highly self-motivated and resourceful with strong problem solving skills; and exceptional attention to detail
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to work effectively with a team of government and industry professionals including the ability to generate correspondence in a professional and timely manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of an integrated team where the workload and priorities change quickly
Exceptional command of MS Excel
Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS
Preferred:
Basic knowledge of DDG 51 Class Destroyer Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and Combat System equipment
Experience with various Navy data repositories, such as N-ERP, NEPS, etc.
Experience with SCN funding
