RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Work with salespeople, engineers and product specialists to implement compelling software and technology infrastructure for registered investment advisors (RIAs). Specifically, develop bespoke solutions to assist advisors during as they expand their practices and onboard to the Goldman Sachs retail securities custodian. Develop a holistic strategy to provide software and technology infrastructure solutions to RIAs as they onboard to Goldman Sachs' newest trading and custody platform. This strategy will include the implementation of new and remediation of legacy technology solutions for investment advisors. In this capacity, provide prospective and existing investment advisors with systems administration expertise. Develop business models and documentation, including technology project plans, to implement the aforementioned strategy. These technology plans will span the domains of software and infrastructure solutions, including the selection of workplace technologies. Work closely with peers in the Engineering organization to bring these plans to fruition. Use a scripting language to implement deployment automation of pre-assembled software and technology infrastructure to investment advisors. Help investment advisors assess their software and technology infrastructure risk profile and contextualize these considerations within the broader operational risk posture of advisors' practices. Regularly collaborate with internal business stakeholders and senior firm leadership to ensure that these solutions are commercially viable and contribute to firmwide engagement with the investment advisor community. Routinely travel to collaborate with investment advisor, particularly as they onboard to as new clients of Goldman Sachs' RIA custody broker-dealer. Lead a team of engineers and technical salespeople to implement the aforementioned strategy with a wide array of current and prospective clients.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Technology Management or Management, or Information Technology or a related field. Minimum seven (7) years in the job offered or in a related role developing client-facing business solutions. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: Developing business strategy and capturing subsequent business models using Excel; authoring business documentation in a technical field; and collaborating globally in a business line with an international client base. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Providing analytical, budget and revenue forecasting, reporting, and program support to senior management. Must have (2) years of experience with: Delivering software and infrastructure solutions in the securities organization of a large, US broker-dealer; designing reliable networking and hardware infrastructure strategies in the financial services domain; assessing operational risk associated with software and technology infrastructure implementation plans in the financial services domain; developing remediation paths for migrating legacy software and hardware systems, including end-of-life Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 or earlier version, or Solaris systems; programming in Python to implement and verify business models; and systems administration experience in Windows and Mac environments.
