The team


Our Product Experience team - Design, Information, and Insights - focuses on our customers and their business needs. We contribute from the concept all the way to the building of world-class product experiences by partnering with Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Engineers and other cross-functional teams. Together, we are a team of craftspeople who aim to make the complex look easy. We employ insights, pixels, and words to solve big problems and make delightful experiences.



This position
As a Product Designer for the Support experience, you will be responsible for the user interface, its architecture, interactions, and visual design across platforms. This role will design how our users get help and reach support when they need to-easily and seamlessly. As a Product Designer you will have real business impact. By empowering our users to quickly find the information they need, when they need it, we reduce operating costs and increase retention.


To be successful in this role, you'll bring your talent, passion, efficient design methods, strong analytical skills, and inventive storytelling to our team. You'll be skilled at collaborating to bring cross-functional teams together around a common vision. You'll welcome feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders and research ideas, and tap your intuition and experience to make the right decision in the absence of definitive facts. You'll adeptly balance business needs with simple, engaging, user-centered solutions.


This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Product Design Manager and is designated Flex.



Responsibilities



  • Championing design thinking, pushing yourself to explore big ideas before narrowing in on feasible, inventive solutions that sweat the small details.

  • Partnering with product management, engineering, research and content strategy to define the product direction, own the design execution and measure ongoing improvements.

  • Participating or assisting in running cross-functional design thinking workshops.

  • Producing deliverables for every stage of the design process - design concepts, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect visual assets for web and mobile.

  • Testing your designs and iterating on them, with support from our research team.

  • Using and contributing new patterns to DocuSign's design system to maintain scalable design across our product ecosystem.

  • Taking advantage of all data points, such as analytics and research, to inform your work

  • Contributing to and enjoying a creative, supportive culture for the entire Product Experience team.




Basic Qualifications



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of designing consumer, enterprise and mobile user experiences for a large-scale web service

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and a network of stakeholders

  • Proficiency in or focus on interaction or visual design, with a desire to learn or experience with prototyping and design research.

  • Proficiency with a design toolset and the ability to evolve those skills-our current tools include Miro, Figma, Abstract, & Sketch.

  • Portfolio of work inspired by user research demonstrating product design strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, articulation of design rationale, strong communication and storytelling skills.

  • Bonus points for experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, designing for the Support experience, and/or front-end development understanding.

  • Experience working on a fully remote team
