This is a 100% remote position, based in the US. We are unable to sponsor H1 transfers or work C2C on this opening.

Responsibilities

As the first Program Manager on our Big Data team, you'll be responsible for managing an array of project and programs, working closely with our Technical Director, Account Directors, and Big Data Architects. You'll be a spark in the evolution of this fast-growing exciting practice.


  • Partner with clients to define project scope, objectives and approach to support business objectives in an efficient yet consensus building fashion

  • Formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects

  • Deciding on suitable strategies and objectives to drive efficiencies across inter-connected projects/teams and meet tight timelines

  • Coordinating cross-project activities across multiple teams

  • Provide a high degree of planning, technical leadership and vendor management to clients and delivery team to ensure successful execution of assigned projects

  • Accountability for the successful management and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects from discovery and design through delivery and completion meeting agreed upon schedule, budget and scope

  • Schedule and facilitate effective meetings; produce agendas, meeting materials, and prepare the resulting conclusions and action items in a professional manner

  • Adherence to guidelines, standards and processes

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with clients, management and cross-functional teams

  • Work directly with clients, vendors and internal resources to develop integrated project schedules and maintain this schedule throughout the project and/or application release cycles

  • Authors and maintains project schedule, project briefs, Statements of Work, change control procedures and cost estimates with input from team members, as needed

  • Adjusts schedule as necessary and facilitates corrective actions to mitigate slippage

  • Management and oversight of outside partners and vendors

  • Ongoing management of project collaboration sites



Qualifications

The ideal candidate has experience with the following in various large enterprise organizations.


  • Experience managing programs and projects related to big data, data warehousing, data engineering, or similar.

  • Consulting (or similar) experience with demonstrated success working across matrixed organizations and geographically dispersed teams

  • Proven ability to manage and develop relationships with vendors and clients

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (includes negotiation)

  • Strong interpersonal and proactive problem solving skills

  • Detail-oriented and take-ownership attitude

  • Must be highly skilled in time management to facilitate leadership of multiple projects

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work around tight deadlines in a fast paced environment waterfall and agile methodologies

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira and Confluence

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience

  • People management experience a plus

  • Bachelors Degree required
