Workforce Strategy Supervisor at UPS

Job Summary

The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Workforce Supervisor supports the global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) management team. The incumbent will assist in developing and executing effective, measurable strategies to support our Business Resource Groups (BRGs). This position may supervise others. 

Responsibilities

  • Gathers internal primary and secondary research to be used to determine programming opportunities for business resource groups and the strategic fit of the proposed programming
  • Researches past projects that address similar programming needs or industry partners to compare/contrast new programs/strategies for the purpose of determining viability
  • Queries data sources, both internal and external, to provide meaningful information about key aspects of given programs. (e.g., retention improvement, reduction in turnovers, improved employee engagement, attraction, etc.)
  • Participates in professional associations that offer a current and future view of business and talent management trends globally to benefit from knowledge that exists outside of UPS and how that knowledge can be applied to further development of our BRGs
  • Identifies effective methods of collecting information, generating reports, and presenting data to senior management to assist the workforce
  • Conducts research to obtain information to prepare initial drafts
  • Participates in creative concept reviews to provide key stakeholders a cohesive vision for project deliverables and obtain approvals
  • Facilitates brainstorming sessions with leadership, team members, and BRG leaders to develop programming/initiative ideas
  • Works with team members to determine potential uses of communications on internal (UPSers.com, Connect pages) & external (social media, external UPS sites) platforms that support DEI
  • Manages project lifecycles, including project scope, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building and deployment to see projects from beginning-to-end
  • Assigns tasks to resources to ensure that the project will be completed on time and according to specifications
  • Reviews programming/initiative needs to aid in the development of an appropriate concept for a global audience
  • Follows up with assigned resources formally and informally to continuously manage the productivity of the team, project timelines and deliverables
  • Balances multiple projects and deployment schedules to meet stakeholder goals and expectations
  • Develops relationships with key stakeholders to maintain awareness of organizational issues and priorities
  • Solicits information from cross-functional resources to accomplish work
  • Presents deliverables to the appropriate stakeholders for review to assure quality and accuracy

Preferences 

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of project management; project scope, communicating to stakeholders, milestone creation
  • Experience in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion space
