Children’s Clinics is seeking a Full-Time Development Coordinator.

    The Development Coordinator will work closely with leadership and collaborate with internal and external clients to support the development and execution of the annual fund development plan which includes individual giving, prospecting and cultivating strategies, stewardship, corporate and foundation relations, and grants. The Development Coordinator will increase philanthropic revenue, create efficiencies, standardize processes and communications and enhance donor/constituent relationships by developing and implementing annual plans. The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual with effective oral and written communication skills, be skilled in collaborating with others to transform strategy into action, have the ability to analyze data to drive solution-oriented outcomes and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    A Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience in nonprofit fundraising required.  Experience with a CRM or donor database, Adobe Creative Cloud Canva, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and/or other digital media platforms including social media platforms preferred.

    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the annual fund development plan which includes individual giving, prospecting and cultivation strategies, stewardship, corporate and foundation relations, and grants. Coordinates annual communication initiatives including internal and external communications across multiple channels and audiences. Works closely with leadership to maintain relationships with existing donors and build relationships with new and prospective donors. Collaborates with Childhood Experiences staff to ensure program needs are met.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Facilitates monetary and in-kind donations in accordance with the organization’s gift acceptance policy and best practices for fundraising including but not limited to the Donor Bill of Rights and AFP Code of Ethics.

    Develops highly personalized, mission-based and donor-centric appeals and recognition strategies and distributes through multiple channels including personal contacts, direct mail, social media, and other forms of contact as needed.

    Creates and promotes opportunities for tax credit contributions, monthly giving, and major giving in partnership with executive leadership and engages donors in opportunities to see their funding in action by participating in and/or observing Childhood Experiences.

    Maintains donor database and ensures overall data integrity; Runs reports, synthesizes information, and shares regular updates about current and prospective donors with leadership.

    Prepares and sends timely gift acknowledgements including formal letters, phone calls from staff, and other personalized follow-ups.

    Researches and identifies prospective donors; locates key contacts within existing and non-existing networks to facilitate connections and advance relationships.

    Serves as internal liaison to grant writers and supports all necessary functions for grant writing including assisting with writing proposals, collecting and synthesizing data for reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with grantors as needed.

    Works closely with Volunteer and Event Coordinator to ensure Childhood Experiences program needs are met, special events are properly resourced, and volunteers are appropriately engaged in fundraising initiatives.

    In partnership with CEO and CAO, develops fundraising goals with incremental increases in identified targets; regularly monitors and reports on key fundraising metrics such as cost per dollar raised and donor retention.

    Participates in community outreach programs and events, and coordinates donations, including in-kind contributions, in conjunction with supervisor.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Knowledge of ethical fundraising best practices

    Knowledge of effective social media engagement strategies

    Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications

    Skill in multimedia tools such as Photoshop, MailChimp, Canva, Prezi, Constant Contact or other communication programs and platforms

    Ability to collaborate with and support other departments within the organization as well as other roles within the broader community

    Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with diverse groups including patients, staff, volunteers, donors, and community members

    Ability to identify and tell compelling stories while protecting patient privacy and obtaining appropriate consent as needed

    Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines

    Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups to carry out tasks that are positively impactful to the organization

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required

    Experience: 

    Two or more years of related experience required

    FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE
