Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position will develop, organize and coordinate high quality YMCA program(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities.
2. Works with director to determine current needs for program.
3. Ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
4. Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions.
5. Manage communication through media relations, social media, etc
6. Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda.
7. Support growth and program development.
8. Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· College Degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
· One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator of people or related activity.
· Ability to use typical business software and office equipment.
· Understanding of the role of volunteerism within the YMCA.
· Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
