Description:

Stella & Chewy's, one of the fastest growing premium pet food companies in the U.S., is looking for an Associate Brand Manager. This person will be critical in helping form a new Brand Management team. You will work in strong collaboration with the broader Marketing team to deliver brand objectives and lead a rapidly growing, highly dynamic business. The ideal candidate is a consumer-centric, insights- and data-driven marketer to help shape an already successful brand in the rapidly growing pet food industry.

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, this role will play an essential role in helping analyze, develop, and implement annual marketing plans. The ABM will have a deep understanding of our consumer's needs to drive relevancy and loyalty. The right individual will have a collaborative and confident working style and enthusiasm for making connections with co-workers, external partners, and consumers.

Brand Management


  • Contribute to and support comprehensive, short, and long-term strategic plans of the brand strategy.

  • Executes day-to-day responsibilities against business priorities that best align with the strategy.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and recommendations about the brand, competition, category, customer, and consumer to incorporate into the brand planning process.

  • Strong experience in using syndicated data sources such as Nielsen to enable analysis of industry data.

  • Lead and coordinate with legal counsel on key matters such as trademark, copyright, etc.

  • Manage overall marketing team budget; forecast spending, monitor progress of plans, and adjust as needed to meeting timing and budget requirements.

  • Track and report on marketing effectiveness and develop insights and actions to adjust plans to increase ROI.

Marketing Communication Plans


  • Coordinate the execution of sponsorships and award applications.

  • Manage the product placement program, including assessment of relevant brand opportunities and providing brand assets for implementation.

  • Assist the industry trade publication media and editorial opportunities to drive awareness and credibility with retailers.

Team Leadership


  • Embody a spirit of ownership, motivate, and cooperate within an entrepreneurial culture that celebrates a willingness to do what it takes to support the team.

  • Communicate and operate broadly across the organization's departments, including Innovation, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance.


. Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a brand management, Consumer Packaged Goods required. Experience in Pet Food industry a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing required, with MBA or Master's in Marketing preferred.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to shift priorities to meet rapidly evolving business needs.

  • Resilient and creative problem-solver who demonstrates curiosity and strives for constant improvement in ambiguous settings.

  • Significant analytical and critical thinking skills with experience analyzing data and telling stories with data.

  • Strong experience using syndicated data sources (i.e. Nielsen, IRI).

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • A strong sense of ownership and personal accountability.

  • High level of independence and resourcefulness.

  • A passion for pets; must be comfortable with dogs and cats.

  • Willingness to travel to conduct market visits, attend trade shows, and support key meetings.
