OverallObjective: Manage the resources of CAID Industries in such a way that all project contractual requirements are met while maximizing current and/or future profitability. Serves as the primary point of contact for the customer from project kickoff through delivery.
Reports to: V.P. Project Management
The candidate MUST have: Experience managing projects – preferably related to metal fabrication and erection.
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
Communication/Coordination
Must possess the ability to communicate, both written & verbal, with members at every level of the CAID Industries team as well as the customer contact(s) in a professional manner that fosters cooperation and amicable problem solving.
Must be able to clearly direct each member of the project team such that every team member knows the role they are expected to play on the project.
Must combine communication skills with fabrication knowledge to adequately relay information and to discuss manpower, floor space, machinery, inspection, etc. with the various shop foremen.
Technical (Must possess or quickly learn)
Possess a strong knowledge of metal fabrication including: Laser/Plasma/Waterjet cutting, Forming, Rolling, Assembly, Welding (automated & manual) & Machining Processes.
Has a working knowledge of common fabrication codes such as ASME Section VIII Div 1, API 650, ASME B31.1 & 31.3, AWS D1.1.
Understands customer specifications and how they tie into common fabrication codes.
Leadership
Must possess the ability to lead teams and to ensure all team members are focused on like goals.
Planning & Organization
Must be proficient in project scheduling and have the ability to break down projects into discrete logical work components. Must have the ability to factor in design/detailing durations, material lead times, work durations and subcontractor lead times to ensure proper work flow.
Utilize ERP software and other resources to create internal documents as well as to document materials needed/purchased, labor expended and product shipped. Ability to use these tools effectively to monitor material purchase/subcontracts, to discern project status and relay updated status to the rest of the CAID team.
Commercial/contract knowledge
Understand the technical, commercial, and schedule requirements of the contract. Ensure the project team is informed of this information in a timely manner.
Understand the entire scope of work of the contract and when significant changes have been made to the contract that require discussions of monetary and lead time change orders.
Understand project milestones and work diligently to achieve them, this includes understanding how the contractual milestones tie into invoicing and ensuring all invoicing is up to date.

Minimum Required Job Skills:
Associates Degree or 3 years’ job experience in a related industry
Familiarity with Word, Excel, Project and Powerpoint
5 years’ experience with AutoCad, Inventor or Solidworks
5 years’ experience with technical project management strongly preferred
