Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant with warehouse administrative support experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!


Role Summary:


Provide administrative warehouse support for South Texas District.


Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:



  • Receiving, Receipting in DSI/JDE and Shipping of materials and goods

  • Kitting, staging and storage of material

  • Receiving and processing returns

  • Inventory Control documentation

  • Work in JDE to change status codes that follow the Maintenance Workflow Process

  • Lead the cycle counts and annual inventory counts

  • Work with procurement and accounting to have new vendors setup as needed

  • Perform packaging and shipping for locations. This may include shipping hazardous material samples (for testing, etc)

  • Support South Texas District in ordering and keeping accurate counts of warehouse inventory material daily to meet objectives and immediate needs

  • Set up new inventory material and add part numbers in JDE

  • And other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2-4 years' experience working in a warehouse handling, shipping and receiving/receipting material.

  • Experience in field operations / maintenance is a huge plus.

  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office suite and a CMMS in the Inventory / Materials suite.

  • Experience working with DSI is a plus

  • Experience working with JDE is a plus



  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Experience working with UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.

  • Strong planning, organization, time management skills.

  • Must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter.

  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

  • Team player

  • Up to 10% travel required.

  • To be successful in this position, the individual must be articulate and capable of effectively communicating (both verbal and written) with all levels of the Organization. Also, must possess good organizational skills.

  • Incumbents must exercise tact, discretion and professionalism when dealing with callers and vendors.


Essential Functions:



  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.

  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

  • This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.


Physical & Safety Requirements:



  • The person in this position needs to move inside the warehouse to access equipment as needed for maintenance and operations.

  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).

  • The employee is frequently required to effectively communicate with others.

  • This position is subject to DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
