JOB SUMMARY:

Perform routine electrical maintenance on equipment and the facility's electrical infrastructure; to include troubleshooting electrical problems, installation of equipment and machinery, and adding electrical circuits when needed. Is a member of the maintenance team and works with the team on non-electrical problems when required to support plant goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates as intended

    • Inspect, maintain and repair equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment
    • Install and troubleshoot AC / DC motors and drives
    • Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations
    • Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy.
    • Responsible for facilities maintenance as required
    • Troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment
    • Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to interpret manufacturers' schematics, manuals or similar documents to troubleshoot and repair all types of production equipment
    • Ability to work with 480, 208, 110 volt circuits (including running conduit)
    • Ability to read and understand instructions for electronic and electrical equipment including schematics.


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates Degree in electrical technology or journeyman level experience as an electrician in the industrial maintenance or equivalent military training and experience
    • At least 3 to 5 years previous experience in industrial maintenance


    COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent attendance and safety record
    • Able to work overtime as needed


    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and maintenance software
