SourceAmerica is looking for a talented Social Media Manager to join its Communications team.

This role is a data-driven communications function that is essential in driving and leading our content creation and social engagement strategy across our organization. This person is responsible for creating a content strategy that supports the organization’s goals and executing that strategy by developing, editing and sharing content. Goals for this role include improving traffic to the SourceAmerica website through social engagement and raising awareness of SourceAmerica’s mission, focus and brand.


As a strong individual contributor reporting to the Senior Manager of Communications Strategy, this person is responsible for creating a content strategy for three distinct audiences: nonprofit partners, corporations seeking to partner with SourceAmerica, and the public sector. This may come in the form of content development about SourceAmerica articles, informative white papers, compelling case studies, inspirational videos, or share-worthy infographics. Working closely with key stakeholders across the organization, and in particular with Marketing, Government Affairs and project managers, this role requires a high level of creativity, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and project management.


 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Follow (and update as needed) a social media content strategy that supports SourceAmerica’s goals, nonprofit partners and companies.

  • Elevate SourceAmerica’s presence and awareness among our target audiences and position SourceAmerica as a thought leader in this industry.

  • Work with Communications team leadership to develop a targeting strategy that supports SourceAmerica’s goals.

  • Support different SourceAmerica’s teams and use strong writing skills to create compelling social media content for blog posts, white papers, case studies, articles, reports, infographics, and more.

  • Build and manage a rich social media content/editorial calendar that supports different departments of the organization, campaigns, and partnerships and is focused on developing a lasting and engaged relationship with partners, and the public.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content.

  • Monitor social engagement performance and identify improvements and opportunities for growth. Create or edit existing content and work with the rest of the team to implement necessary changes.

  • Prepare reports on social media activities and analyze metrics for project teams, senior leadership and others as needed.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement weekly paid social media campaigns.

  • Create graphics for organic social media channels.

  • Ensure a consistent voice online and be able to react in times of crisis.

  • Stay current on digital trends and recommend opportunities.

  • Actively participate in SourceAmerica’s Everyday Performance Management program.

  • Cooperate fully with meeting the requirements of the Cooperative Agreement.

  • Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE



  • Associates degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the required education

  • 5 years of relevant work experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution

  • 7 years of relevant work experience

 OTHER REQUIREMENTS



  • Entry level skill set with social media engagement strategy and various platforms, including SEO.

  • Demonstrated experience with social media audience segmentation and targeting.

  • Demonstrated excellence in digital copywriting, content creation and curation.

  • Strong organizational skills, easily able to manage multiple campaigns to multiple audiences simultaneously.

  • Excellent writing creative thinking skills with an ability to collect, analyze, and report on data to inform all decisions.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and teams across a 400+ organization with a national footprint.

  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Capable of working independently and solving problems under time pressure.
