Job Title – Data Stage Developer

Location – Hartford, CT (Remote until COVID)

Roles/Responsibilities:

• As a senior technologist you will be part of the strategic drive to in working along with multi-discipline teams through the full delivery lifecycle of complex data products and pipelines


• Supporting our client’s Business Analysts to build system requirement specifications.


• Developing high level solution design which meets the system requirements.


• Work closely with offshore development team.


• Review coding and testing results produced by offshore development team.


• Provide direction, coaching and technical leadership guidance to the offshore development teams during application development life cycle


• Strong Experience in ETL (extract- transform-load) technology – specifically IBM DataStage


• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing design strategies and best practices


• Customer Oriented - In-depth experience transforming system requirements into technical requirement;


• Strong teamwork and communication skills, plus a flexible approach to tasks and the working environment.


• Application development knowledge DBMS technologies; one or more of the following - Oracle, Teradata, MS SQL Server DBMS and SQL/Stored Procedure knowledge,


• Strong knowledge of Unix or Linux

Required Qualifications:  

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is required.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint is required.


• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary, and deadline driven environment.


• Proficient at financial modeling and quantitative analysis.


• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.


• Understanding of business requirements analysis, user acceptance testing and change management techniques.


• Working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.


• Demonstrated ability to administer financial systems.


• Strong interpersonal skills.
