Position Description:

Summary

The Marketing Project Manager develops plans, provides reporting, and builds the organizational processes to effectively implement and manage Marketing deliverables. This position provides direction to supporting team members, and is accountable for coordinating efforts and documenting the detailed components such as: marketing strategy, forecasting, analytic requirements or IT requirements, issues, training or instructions, testing, execution, etc. Programs are typically of high complexity and strategic importance to the organization.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Develop and maintain plans for Marketing initiatives

  • Prepares documentation and provides status updates to senior management

  • Ensures initiatives are delivered on time

  • Builds effective organizational and administrative infrastructure to support growth.

  • Maintain documentation and schedules, keep files and department organization

  • Create and perform cost benefit analysis, and manage vendor relationships as required

  • Facilitate and run program and staff meetings

  • Develops lists of action items, next steps, and routes meeting agendas and objectives to necessary stakeholders

  • Prepare expert level Power Point presentations for strategic updates

  • Performs other related work as required or requested.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

  • College degree in business, marketing, public relations, finance, communications or related field is preferred.

  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible Marketing Management/Program or Product Management experience (or the equivalent).

  • Excellent understanding of financial services marketing management concepts & processes obtained through experience or formal training.

  • Experience in developing and implementing complex marketing, sales and business project plans and with external consultants/vendors.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and deliver presentations at the executive level.

  • Excellent critical thinking, prioritization, organizational, and project planning skills.

  • Excellent oral / written communication, listening, and presentation skills.

  • Possesses analytical ability with a strong proactive approach, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task while working independently and/or in a group

  • Demonstrated proficiency on Microsoft Office Project, Word, Excel and Power Point


Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Customer Service Relationships:

Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.

Work Complexity:

Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.

Work Environment:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
