The System and Service Engineer for PCI has ownership and responsibility for the overall machine systems and the interdependencies. The engineer will often collaborate with the software, applications and engineering team, and take the lead to translate between groups to facilitate the achievement of a successful system. The engineer will work throughout each stage or process, from design and development to validation, operation and testing including installation and commissioning. This position will support driving of production tasks, installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of the SurfMax technology platform and other equipment within the PCI group in house as well as customer locations.

Defining interfaces between the software and hardware groups
Aid PCI group during project phases
Participate in build process
You are:
Bachelor degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer science or equivalent
Possess an in-demand ability to apply an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving
Experience with automation components such as PLC's, drives, industrial networks both from a design and support perspective
Experience with mechanical assembly and design, being able to review mechanical drawings and proposals.
Capital equipment development, installation and support knowledge and experience preferred.
Basic understanding of programming code and troubleshooting
Experience creating interdepartmental processes
Understanding of common manufacturing processes
Excellent verbal communication skills to quickly communicate during troubleshooting
Able to communicate the technology across different technical levels
