Job Description:

A 40-hour Therapy Services Program Lead position is available at Cherry Hill, NJ. The Program Lead will carry a caseload and support the NJ State Manager with daily operations that occur as well as managing provider schedules, templates and triage. All OT, PT and SLP candidates are encouraged to apply, however Physical Therapists are preferred.


  • This position coordinates and ensures the daily operational integrity of the designated clinical program within Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services in collaboration with the department Manager/Supervisor. Provides team leadership and management of daily clinical assignments in the designated area.
  • This position will have both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Exact percentages will be set by program or location. Provides evaluation, treatment and consultation independently to patients within the designated clinical discipline/program and demonstrates clinical proficiency in direct patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Clinical license in State of Delaware required as an (OT, PT, Speech Pathologist) but Physical Therapists preferred.
  • Clinical license in New Jersey required
  • Advanced degree preferredi (DPT, MS OT, )

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages daily patient and associate schedules and template changes/management. Coordinates time off requests and utilization of float, per diem or casual staff. Works with other Program Supervisors and Program Managers to assure adequate clinical coverage to meet patient need.
  • Responsible for patient triage and monitoring of waitlist.
  • Promotes a positive work attitude within the department and practice and treats associates with respect, dignity and fairness but is also firm when necessary. Demonstrates and supports associates in a family centered approach to care.
  • Provides regular feedback to clinical staff to address issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Responsible for facilitating a collaborative and supportive relationship between programs within the department for smooth patient flow and patient satisfaction. Provides cross coverage for other Program Leads during times of absence or vacancies to assure ongoing operational integrity.
  • Collaborates with Program Supervisor/Manager in completing new associate orientation and assuring completion of the clinical competency checklists. Assures associate completion of all department, hospital and organizational requirements.
  • Responds to patient and family concerns. Escalates to Program Supervisor/Manager as necessary for resolution of complaints, grievances, issues or inquiries.
  • In conjunction with Program Supervisor/Manager facilitates the implementation of the program's/disciplines Continuous Improvement plan to assure patient care quality, outcome and customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies the need for and arranges to provide education and training for associates in their program or discipline.
  • In conjunction with Program Supervisor/Manager, coordinates on-going compliance with all regulatory agencies including Joint Commission and CARF. Facilitates on site surveys and staff/department preparation activities.
  • Participates in daily management huddles of assigned programs and locations as appropriate. And conducts daily program huddles in lieu of Program Supervisor/Manager as assigned and escalates issues when indicated.
  • Promotes evidenced-based care and the development and implementation of standard clinical work practices in their discipline including development, maintenance, interpretation and implementation of clinical competencies, clinical practice guidelines and use of standard outcome measures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of all applicable licensing, regulatory and accreditation standards, and assures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including JCAHO standards, State regulations, Life Safety Code, National Fire Prevention Association, Office of Human Protection, Americans with Disabilities Act and Clean Air Act, in designated area of responsibility.
