Position Summary:

The Analyst - Treasury Back Office for Bunge North America (BNA) will report primarily to the Director - Corporate Accounting in St. Louis and be a key member of the Corporate Accounting team. This position will have the primary responsibility of insuring BNA (mostly US and Canada) has wire transfers processed and recorded correctly, including payroll, FX settlements, certain vendor payments, interest rate swap settlements, and margin calls. The position is also responsible for certain accounting functions including proper recording of transactions within SAP. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage deadlines and work with multiple groups.

Core Functions:


  • Settlements of third party and intercompany treasury and treasury-related transactions (FX, servicing debt payments, margin call settlements, lease payments, etc.)

  • Process all (time sensitive) Bunge Master Trust wires through the bank portal of Bank of New York Mellon and insure coverage when out of the office

  • Settlement of third party vendor wire transfers for the BNA operating company and Finance and Holding Companies

  • Confirmation of various treasury transactions including derivative transactions

  • Reconciliation of treasury-related balances and transactions

  • General corporate accounting functions

  • Processing treasury related invoices via a web based payables system (BP Open and/or VIM)

  • Coordinate with Controllers, Bunge Business Services and outsourcing partner to post journal entries for daily cash activities including FEBA bank statements and reconciling daily cash postings. Reconciling daily/monthly activity for all companies including interest accruals, amortization of finance costs, balance sheet revaluations, mark to market (MtM) valuations, accounting, reporting FX and interest rate activity.

  • Maintaining Intercompany Loans and Joint Venture Loans, balances/settlements and interest accruals and inputting / maintaining loan information

  • Other functions include: Sox and Audit support, assisting Controllers / outsourcing partner in master data management relating to bank account instructions, supporting middle office function in gathering information for bank share of wallet reporting and serving as an escalation contact and connection point to NA workers for bank account reconciling items.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

Technical Skills


  • A BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

  • A minimum 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting

  • Working knowledge of in-house banking systems with an understanding of treasury front office transactions and processes.

  • Experience in cash management and treasury operations

Communication & Relationship Management

* Strong relationship management skills with the ability to constructively engage other functional areas and business units (BNA and other Bunge operating companies), Global Treasury centers and banks' Back Office groups

Business Acumen

* Experience in large multi-national companies (preferred) with general understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

* Has a mindset to continuously examine processes and procedures and improve where possible

* The ability to compute and make skilled decisions quickly
