Job Summary:

Dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight in a safe and timely manner.  They are responsible for ensuring freight is handled carefully from truck trailers into warehouse, or loading trailers.
 

Essential Functions:      

• Transfer materials and items from receiving dock to bin location or other designated area by hand,         


• Will sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined           


• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or transfers to packing station.


• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock area   


• Maintain a positive team environment and be able to perform any other warehouse related functions as required for the operation

Other Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred


• Must be able to read and interpret receiving tickets and or pick tickets as well as RF scanning instructions  


• Must have attention to detail      


• Must be able to work successfully in a team environment


• Heavy lifting and handling freight on dock to load out trucks.
