Job Description Summary

The Customer Service Representative works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to fulfill the needs of customers throughout the Greater Rochester area. He or she answers the phone promptly with an accommodating tone of voice, takes the customers order for ready-mixed concrete in a detailed, timely and professional manner, and records accurate delivery and product information on that order. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.  This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Customer Service functions including, but not limited to, the following:

• Take and Process Customer Orders for ready-mixed concrete accurately and efficiently


• Collaborate with QC, Sales, and Operations personnel to ensure effective delivery of concrete

• Communicate well with customers, sometimes in stressful situations


• Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers and/or internal personnel


• Occasionally dispatch trucks


• Other duties as assigned
  
   

Requirements

• Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the concrete & construction industry.


• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel


• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision


• Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance


• Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends, especially during the summer season where it’s not unusual to work 50 or more hours per week


• Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees


• Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.


• Must pass drug screen and background check before being employed by The Dolomite Group

Education/Experience

• Ready-mixed experience preferred but will train the right person


• High school graduate or equivalent
