This is an entry-level position and training will be provided. Quality Inspectors will monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing parts. Must be a very detail-oriented person.


Qualifications:



  • Ability to pay very close attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment

  • Ability to work well in a small team environment

  • Able to read a tape measure and set up and read gauges and meters

  • Able to perform basic math calculations

  • High level of reliability, productivity, and professionalism

  • Excellent communication skills- written and spoken

  • PC literacy, able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Outlook, and other Windows-based programs and apps

Job responsibilities include:



  • Inspect and test incoming materials, in-process and finished product per established procedures. Perform inspections in a timely manner to meet production scheduling and customer order requirements.

  • Receive, inspect, and test product returns following standard procedures, including returns for evaluations, customer complaints, and repair.

  • As needed, troubleshoot product complaints and other feedback with customers and sales reps when information is received via phone or email. Notify the supervisor when new failure modes or new trends arise.

  • Verify that product is being made properly and conforms to quality standards and specifications.

  • Ensure materials or products not meeting specified requirements are withheld from use in manufacturing or distribution pending final disposition.

  • Perform product repairs for customer returns following standard procedures.

  • Ensure records for all activities performed are documented accurately and completely. Ensure records are reviewed and signed off by the supervisor and maintained in an orderly fashion.

  • Have the ability to review specifications on the computer database.

  • Correctly set up and operate production testing equipment according to instructions.

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Physical Requirements:


This position requires lifting 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Position may require standing and occasional sitting, bending, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, overhead lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, squatting, and twisting.


High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.


Hours: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday
