This position will be focusing primarily on our Motive Power applications, which include industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks, rail equipment, mining equipment, and airline ground support equipment. Some of the motive power brands include Hawker, Ironclad, General Battery, and Fiamm. Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.


Job Purpose


We are currently looking for a Sr. Technical Sales Representative to cover sales territories. Generate new business, maintain existing accounts, and increase sales and market share by various channels. Responsibilities include generating sale of batteries, chargers, and service within the sales areas. Including forecasting, quoting, order writing ups, and meeting or exceeding all targets established in the designated territories. This position will have direct contact with customers as well as corporate marketing and engineering to help support and drive products that are best suited to the success of EnerSys in the market.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogs, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, meetings, and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.

  • Create, maintain, and enhance relationships with key personnel for productdevelopment and sales.

  • Research and identify potential customers for products or services.

  • Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.

  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.

  • Other activities includeproposals, pricing, presentations, forecasting,program management, and other duties as required.

  • A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters.

  • Followall company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.

  • All other duties maybe assigned.


Qualifications


To perform the Sr. Technical Sales Representative positionsuccessfully, an individual must have prior experience insales.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill, and/or abilities required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.



Minimum Qualifications


  • At least 5-7 years of sales work experience, in the industry.

  • Ahigh school diploma or equivalent.

  • Language Skills: Excellent communication skills. The ability to speak in public. The ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforceand the Internet.

  • Able to read and comprehend manuals, procedures, and other written documents written in English.



Driving Requirements


  • Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record with minimal traffic violations.

  • Must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.

  • Able and willing to travel to customer sites.

  • Able and willing to travel up to 75% of the time within the assigned territory.

  • Able and willing to do overnight travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Industry experience are preferred.


General Job Requirements



  • This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific drivers license and have additional driving requirements.

  • Must be able and willing to do overnight travel

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.

  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.

  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
