Full-Time Opportunity for a Computer Specialist

Where: Required to split work week between Hamden & Stamford Connecticut locations

Hamden location:  2061 State Street, Hamden CT

Stamford location:  26 Elm Court, Stamford CT

 

Hours:   Business hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. (may be required to work additional hours as needed)

 

Duties: Works under the direction of the Director of Information Services. Responsible for providing a full range of support for the technical assistance to CTtransit computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for users in person, via phone or from a remote location. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, e-mail, desktop applications and phone system.  Perform installation of operating system, applications and management of operating system software. Monitor for and assist in the removal of viruses in the computing environment. Prepare new computer systems or upgrade current systems as needed. Maintain an accurate inventory for computer systems company-wide. Perform all other duties as may be assigned or requested.

 

Qualifications:  If you have at a minimum, Technical school education and/or work experience combined in Microsoft Windows operating systems installation and repair along with experience with WAN Network configurations for servers and desktops and the desire to learn information technology support functions and processes this may be the job for you.
