Junior Loan Closer - Credit Markets at Macquarie Global Services

Job Description:

Apply your knowledge of the LSTA loan trading and the direct lending market in a front office role within our Credit Markets Division.We are looking for an experienced leveraged loan closer who is looking to become an integral component of a fast-growing team. Sitting on the trading floor you'll be immersed within the day-to-day business operations and have an opportunity to leverage your subject matter expertise in the leverage loans space alongside our sales and lending team.


Reporting directly into the head of Loan Closing in CMD, you'll deliver through a hands-on approach directly supporting the front office, drafting trade documents for leveraged loans, onboarding new clients and guiding them throughout the closing process.


In this highly visible role, you will have daily interaction with the front office while you work as a Loan Closer drafting bespoke trade documents. You will be responsible for seeing transactions end to end, ensuring deals are booked, documents are drafted and liaising with the back office and client to ensure transactions are settled on-time. In this role you will also have daily interaction with external clients while you work through the document negotiation and drafting process alongside our legal team. Possessing a strong professional image and communication style will ensure that you are successful in this role.


The key qualities we're looking for are the ability to manage and prioritize multiple transactions simultaneously, strong interpersonal, stakeholder and client management skills.


To be successful you will have:



  • 1+ years of experience working in a similar role

  • Knowledge of LSTA PAR Standard Terms and Conditions and Documentation

  • An ability to draft bespoke par participation agreements and trade confirmation

  • An ability to draft bespoke funding memorandums and funds flows

  • A strong understanding of primary loan syndication and secondary loan trading and settlement processes for loan trades and trade claims.

  • Be process driven and flexible to changes in loan market

  • Possess a strong understanding of the leveraged loan market and trade claim closing process.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong understanding of credit agreements

  • Great attention to detail and strong understanding of pricing mechanics for PAR trades

  • Strong written and verbal communication
