Regional Sales Manager
Summary: This position is responsible for creating a dynamic sales team that creates value while maintaining discipline and profitability. This position is also responsible for key account management.
Location: Mankato, MN
Five Key Roles:
Lead, Manage, Hold People Accountable
Provide leadership by setting clear standards, goals, expectations and leading by example
Hire, fire, review, reward and recognize employees based on core values and GWC
Demonstrate accountability and hold others accountable
Actively plan for employee training and development
Key Account Management
Develop business relationships with key producers in region
Increase market share with key accounts
Ensure target account relationships are maintained and enhanced as established by Sales & Marketing Manager
Development, Coaching, Mentoring
Train and develop sales team to maximize their professional potential
Develop, implement, and execute customized training and development programs
Conduct individual professional development meetings and assist with sales calls for the purposes of developing, coaching, and mentoring the sales team
Orientation of new employees to sales processes, operations, technology and resources
Lead and develop future talent through an Agronomy Internship & Sales Trainee Program
Maintain a professional network to help attract and recruit future applicants
Work closely with Interns and Sales Trainees to assess talent and develop skills
Sales Processes
Responsible for executing and growing sales volumes of Agronomy products and services
Ensure all sales processes are documented, simplified and followed by all
Resolve all issues in both the company's and the customer/vendor's best interest
Business Plan
Assist with annual business plan development
Communicate and achieve margin expectations with regional sales team
Responsible for communication of business plan and objectives to the sales team
Create individual goals and team objectives to achieve or exceed business plan objectives
Other

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn other key operational computer programs
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to remain goal-driven in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills including multi-tasking, planning, and prioritizing
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license
Meet the driver qualification standards set by the self-insured group in which the cooperative is a member
Pre-employment drug testing required
Comply with Cooperative Drug and Alcohol Policy
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited related program. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience
Sales management experience desired
CCA Certification desired
Passion for providing guidance, constructive feedback and helping others succeed
Gets it, wants it, has the capacity to perform well (GWC)
