The Point of Care Laboratory Supervisor will work within a full-serviced medical laboratory that is fully accredited by the New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Unit as well as the Join Commission. The laboratory services offered at this state-of-the-art facility consist of chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, pathology, phlebotomy, hematology, urinalysis, histology, cytology, and blood transfusion services. This laboratory service line is able to perform more than one million tests annually utilizing the most up-to-date technologies.

The Point of Care Laboratory Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Manager of Laboratory Services. The Point of Care Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for the overall direction for all Point of Care Laboratory Testing throughout the healthcare network which includes hospital units, subsidiary hospitals, on-campus clinics, as well as all regional health centers within the health system. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field as well as proper New York Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist licensure.
