Cafeteria Services Administrator is responsible for administrative, financial, and managerial aspects of all cafeteria services. This is a national position with responsibility of managing cafeteria operations at 11 locations in multiple states, serving more than 21,000 associates on three shifts, supporting all related functions and services.
Responsibilities:
Manages the daily activities of 150+ contract resources at multiple locations to ensure efficient operations including menu, food service, and quality of the product daily
Establishes policies and procedures to ensure all assets and equipment are serviced and maintained and remain in working order
Manages all aspects of the operational budget for their area, negotiates cost, provides cost effective solutions with multiple approaches
Frequently reviews progress against milestone and provides timely updates and feedback
Collaborates by actively sharing information and resources with other teams in the organization
Manage day to day service activities to ensure systems are in place to provide food services efficiently and at a level acceptable to the customer needs and time constraints
Establish goals and objectives that align with the company's overall business strategy.
Sets expectations and holds people accountable and assesses performance throughout the year
Assigns tasks and/or projects accordingly, by assessing the knowledge and skills of others
Prioritizes goals of self and others, in line with department and organizational objectives
Establish and manage operating budgets, ensure expense and revenue match established targets
Implement countermeasures to ensure alignment of multiple site operations
Develop solutions to correct any issue that may impact the business
Connects and reaches out to diverse teams and government agencies
Ensure work areas meet and comply with all health code requirements
Develop strong working relationship with all agencies that have jurisdiction over the food service areas. Conduct internal health audits and inspections to minimize the risk of interruption of food services.
High school diploma, four-year degree desirable or equivalent of 5 years in the field of restaurant management — cafeteria services or facilities administration.
Establish preventative maintenance programs for equipment, assets, direct and trend work order programs.
Additional knowledge in contract negotiation and procurements techniques and basic finance and budget technologies
A strong working knowledge of cafeteria service equipment and systems (required)
A working knowledge of all code and health requirements associated with the food service industry (required)
