What you will do:
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer(SRE) to join our team in St. Louis, . The team designs, builds and maintains systems at Equifax for both on premise and public cloud.
Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
Practice sustainable incident response and postmortems
Learn about and help maintain our automation tools
Develop automation for both public cloud and on-premises resources
Deliver repeatable, reliable systems using tools like Terraform and ChefParticipate in engineering and architecture
On-call pager duty
Qualifications
5 years of technology experience in complete SDLC in a developer / DevOps capacity
Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or equivalent field
1+ years experience with Amazon Web Services(AWS) or Google Cloud Platform(GCP)
Experience with configuration automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack, etc.)
Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery
Skilled in using version control(GIT or SVN)
Extra Points for any of the Following
Boundless passion for technology and a willingness to learn and teach
Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
Experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby
