The BIM Detailer must understand the BIM coordination process thoroughly. Their primary function is to manage the coordination process and create accurate shop drawings from this process.

Duties
Understand and follow CSI policies and procedures.
Model electrical content using Autodesk Revit.
Lead the CSI team effort in the coordination process.
Request and review submittals for accurate modeling process.
Review the contract drawings and identify early RFI's to Project management.
Maintain shop drawings and models on cloud-based file sharing site.
Assist project manager to maintain contract documents on cloud-based file sharing site.
Create the BIM model and content with constant foreman input and review.
Coordinate model with other trades.
Prepare schedules and drawings for prefab.
Maintain excellent communications with PM, foreman, and prefab department.
Produce 2D shop drawings for field installation and submittal process.
Produce model and drawings to maintain the construction and coordination schedules.
Create and maintain accurate total station points.
Communicate information to total station operator.
Assist other divisions as needed.
Exhibit thorough understanding of job specific BIM execution plan.
Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent
2 -5 years in the electrical construction trade, with a strong knowledge of construction sequencing, construction methods, and materials practices; including knowledge of electrical systems*
Can be a combination of trade, education, and relevant work experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge and use of Revit and Navisworks
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Proficiency in Bluebeam
Proactive attitude, showing initiative and the ability to work independently
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing job requirements
Ability to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings
General knowledge and understanding of the electrical codes
Ability to take ownership and accountability

Physical Demands
Frequently works outdoors on uneven surfaces.
May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Works in a climate-controlled environment 50% of the time.
May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
Frequently works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels.
May occasionally work in areas with hazardous chemicals.
