Status: Part-time

Schedule: 5 days/week

Shift: 7am - 11am

Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our Community, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our Community is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain exterior appearance of community; including watering plants, ensuring furniture is in kept in place, power wash patio, remove trash, inspect all landscaping


• Act as a Hands-On leader completing daily maintenance tasks as need to keep the building maintained at the highest level, in the best condition, while providing the highest quality of safety and living for its residents.


• Follow written maintenance policies and procedures.


• Assist in providing maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).


• Assume the responsibility for maintaining material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals in the maintenance department and report any needed documents


• Ensure that containers of hazardous chemicals in the department are properly labeled and stored


• Maintain inventory and records according to established policies.


• Assist in controlling expenses related to the Maintenance Department's budget for equipment, supplies, and labor


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have, as a minimum two years' experience working in the maintenance or health care field.


• Must have Service related experience


• Must be able to proficiently operate a computer. Must possess basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook.
