If you are a MATERIALS ANALYST, looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our  NATCHITOCHES, LA  location, you will be responsible for communicating releases of parts to suppliers, tracking incoming parts receipts and maintaining part inventory accuracy.  This includes managing MRP, Kanbans and expediting material as required to meet production needs.  Responsibilities will also include scheduling and managing some sub-assemblies.  The analyst will be responsible to drive improvements in material turns, storage, packaging and customer delivery. The position will require significant interface with Suppliers, Transportation, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing.  Material analyst will track and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN'S) in the plant.  The Analyst will be working as part of the team to ensure uninterrupted flow of material for production and customer satisfaction of on-time delivery. 

AS  A MATERIALS ANALYST,  YOU WILL: 


  • Manage MRP to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Track progress of materials and expedite as required.
  • Manage Kanbans to meet production and inventory targets.
  • Maintain / Create Oracle records for Kanban, Plant Attributes, Product Family, ABC classification in Mfg WorkBench.
  • Manage inventory accuracy to meet goals (Cycle Counting).
  • Key player to identify and resolve issues that impact on time delivery to support Operations.  
  • Work in conjunction with production, customer service, sales, suppliers, and procurement to meet customer requirements including short LT and expedite requests. 
  • Cross-trained in other positions in the department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience. Relevant experience includes material planning & control or co-op term(s).
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Ultriva, Oracle).
  • Capable of utilizing Lean tools such as Kanban, VSM, pull systems, demand-driven Supply Chain, and Perfect Execution strategies.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for the position
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship is not available for this position. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  


  • Prefer a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related degree.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, MRP systems, shop floor controls, Supply Chain methodology, Lean and Perfect Execution.
  • Materials and/or Operations experience is preferred.

About our Location
Alliance Compressors is a joint venture established by Emerson Climate Technology, Inc., (formerly Copeland Corporation) a subsidiary of Emerson, and Trane (now a part of Ingersoll Rand,) and Lennox International.  The partnership was formed for the purpose of developing, manufacturing, and marketing one through six-ton scroll compressors.  Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units.  The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space.  This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area and offers 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
