Summary: This is a position for a mid-level geotechnical engineer. Applicant will be responsible for creating and organizing field exploration programs, performing engineering calculations and preparing reports.

Your Role:

• Provide geotechnical engineering, construction observation, and design assignments under the supervision of experienced geotechnical engineering personnel. Management and technical responsibilities can increase in complexity with training under close supervision.
• Assigned tasks may include field data collection, construction monitoring, calculations, preliminary design, and drafting for geotechnical engineering evaluations and reports.
• Assist with processing field data, performing geotechnical analyses, report and drawing preparation, and assist in preparation of engineering proposals. Senior geotechnical engineering professionals will direct and provide peer review of all work.

• A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's Degree desired).
• 2-7 years of relevant engineering experience on geotechnical, infrastructure, civil and water resource engineering projects including dams, levees, floodwalls, transportation projects and other infrastructure projects.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) certification (Preferred).
• Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong background in engineering, earth, physical or natural science, soil conservation, or surveying.
• Proficiency with computerized modelling tools, including the ability to utilize CAD and /or GIS to develop model input.
