The Security Signal Intelligence Analyst, assigned to a specific client, is responsible for collecting, analyzing and disseminating real-time, open source incidents in the North American region but may support other regions. The Analyst may seek information regarding mis- or disinformation campaigns by state or non-state actors, violent incidents, dangerous organizations (terrorist, OCG), civic integrity, and areas related to cybersecurity.

Essential Functions:

 

1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.


2. Monitor open source platforms and analyze North American events including its impact to assets.


3. Monitor for threats against user's open source tools.


4. Conduct damage assessments on violent incidents and human-made disasters.


5. Send communication to cross-functional partners and complete safety check activations.


6. Create operational briefs for leadership, as requested.


7. Develop forecast reports on regional threats, as requested.


8. Identify new and emerging incidents that may pose a risk to the client's people, users, assets, or reputation.


9. Investigate potential malicious activity or miscommunication on user pages;

10. All other duties, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Master's degree in political science, international relations, philosophy, STEM or other related studies, with two or more years of experience in corporate security or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company will be considered.

Competencies:

 

• Customer service experience within a fast-paced environment.


• Open source research experience.


• Strong statistical and geospatial analysis experience.


• Background in Geospatial Analysis (i.e., ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) preferred.


• Travel, educational, and language experience abroad, preferred.

• Knowledge of viewing graphic images/videos.


• Effective time management skills.


• Able to write clear and concise reports.


• Serve as an effective team player.


• Able to remain calm and professional within a fast-paced/high-stress situation.

• Computer skills; Microsoft Office, Statistics (qualitative or quantitative) using SPSS, R or other stats analysis software, Python and/or SQL.
