The Coding Specialist will be reporting directly to the Coding Manager. The Coding Specialist will complete all types of coding for the hospital's medical records to include: Inpatient, Outpatient, Surgical and ER. This position must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. The HIM Coding Specialist will assure that all coded and abstracted information is accurate and will perform special duties as assigned, such as reports, quality and productivity monitors, education, and acts as a liaison between staff and management. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience with inpatient and outpatient coding and AHIMA (CCS) certification.

This fully equipped Critical Access hospital is located in a small town just outside of Ocean City MD.
