Job Title: Product Merchandiser, Apparel & Accessories; North America Wholesale

Reports to: Director of Merchandising; North America Wholesale

Location: Flexible, local or remote
 

The Role

The Product Merchandiser for Apparel & Accessories, North America Wholesale will drive the assortment direction and marketplace strategies for the Apparel & Accessories business in the North America wholesale channel. As an industry, category & market expert, your job is to be the go-to person for all product related matters. Your primary responsibility will be to liaise with the sales team & brand product team and be the voice of our market.

Your Impact (list 4 with key responsibilities)
 

Own the Merchandising Go-To-Market calendar from Brief to Sales Launch: partner with all the key stakeholders at each key milestone and deliver an assortment of product that meets the financial & strategic needs of the Ugg brand & North America wholesale market Partners & collaborates with cross-functional leaders, including Sales, PLM, Design, Marketing, Demand Planning, Sales Ops & more to ensure alignment Communication & Presentation: Efficient & effective communication required within team and with cross-functional team members. Present the line to internal & external stakeholders. Support sales team where necessary Assortment Planning: Create Merchandise Financial Plan for North America Wholesale to support departmental and brand growth plans. Segment, differentiate the line & influence price architecture to target different consumer groups and distribution channels

Who You Are

A commercially astute individual with an in-depth market knowledge and understanding of the North America fashion retail landscape. You will have an exceptional ‘eye’ for product and demonstrate a strong understanding of the Brand Vision.  You must be an effective communicator and influencer and be able to build collaborative and successful relationships across the business.  You must also display excellent analytical skills and be able to convey findings of analysis in an impactful way.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience preferred

  • 5+ years of merchandising/ buying experience in the fashion industry, preferably in apparel & accessories but not a must

  • Strong understanding of the North America market, retail landscape & different consumer groups. Stays up to date with product & market trends

  • Excellent communicator and strong presenter: ability to engage with small and large audiences with different roles and backgrounds

  • Proactive and collaborative: able to work independently but also a team player

  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and multi-task

  • Strong excel & analytical skills

  • Passion for product
