In addition, ANDRITZ offers technologies for certain other sectors including automation, the production of animal feed and biomass pellets, pumps, machinery for nonwovens and plastic films, steam boiler plants, biomass boilers and gasification plants for energy generation, flue gas cleaning plants, plants for the production of panel boards (MDF), thermal sludge utilization, and biomass torrefaction plants.


ANDRITZ (Fiber & Drying Line Service) is seeking a self-motivated individual to learn and become an active Team member of the fiberline engineering team. This is an exempt position with annual bonus potential. This position will report to Pell City, AL




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



o Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology


o Desire to obtain Alabama State Professional Engineering certification


o Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawing


o Solid understanding of 2D AutoCAD and 3D Modeling using Inventor


o Strong understanding and ability to do mechanical design calculations. Emphasis on rotating equipment, ASME Code, and fatigue


o Strong mathematical skills


o Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks concurrently


o General understanding of material properties (metals, polymers, ceramics)


o Must be able to work independently



PRINCIPAL DUTIES




Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:



o Learn and understand the basic design and operation of continuous cooking system equipment


o Work with the Andritz Glens Falls Fiberline engineering group as well as with customers to service the installed base of feedline equipment


o Provide technical support to Andritz Glens Falls Spare Parts group


o Provide support to ANDRITZ Pell City Rebuild Center for drawing and design changes


o Manage the ECR (Engineering Change Request) process


o Become the SME for ASME design, fabrication and testing performed in Pell City, AL


o Assist Fiberline estimators in creating technical and commercial proposals


o Provide on-site Field Service support for mill maintenance outages


o Work with no supervision while prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines


o Maintain key customer relationships
