The IT Project Manager at GreatStar Tools USA provides a high degree of leadership to the project team, serving to facilitate the activities that meet the project objectives both on-time and on-budget KPIs. In this opportunity you will be responsible for ERP project plan creation and management, scope adherence, activity planning and facilitation, participate in budget planning and reporting, project staffing, client relationship management, risk management, and reporting.
GreatStar Tools, USA consist of four companies, Arrow Fastener LLC, Prime-Line LLC, ShopVac USA, LLC, and GreatStar Industrial USA.
Note: This is position will be based in Saddle Brook, NJ. However, you will be expected to work both remotely and travel to other site locations throughout the US maybe required, i.e., PA, NC, GA, AR, and CA.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide project management leadership for all project implementation activities, blueprinting, configuration, validation, go-live, and moving the project into a steady state of operations
For all assigned projects, ensure project management planning and status review processes are completed with regularity each week and PM deliverables are kept current
Ensure project team follows GSTU project governance procedures and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule
Participate in resource planning with other PMs (vendors and busines) and management to get resources assigned to project tasks
Act as customer advocate, ensuring our project’s approach and deliverables are focused on meeting the business imperatives or TTI’s
Review and understand the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects
Conduct both an Internal (GSTU) Project Kickoff meeting and a Project Kickoff meeting with our external vendors
Review key deliverables to assure scope and budget remain aligned
Hold weekly status meetings and create progress/issues report
Maintain the Project Plan using Microsoft Project
Ensure Tasks, Time and Expense entry is being completed in system
Communicate key dates, risks, and impediments to all project stakeholders and create regular progress reports for consumption by C-level client executives.
Create and maintain detailed project schedules
Perform time and expense reviews
Skill Requirements & Experience
A minimum of 10+ years project management experience in ERP enterprise environment, including the management of communications, budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, change requests, and quality
Prior implementation and consulting experience with ERP enterprise systems is required; preferably, experience with Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, and Infor is a plus
BA/BS in MIS, Computer Science, Accounting or equivalent
Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to effective and efficient business processes
Thorough knowledge of all major project management activities, including risk assessments
Experience aligning project deliverables and customer expectations using Microsoft Project
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
Coaching and/or mentoring experience with excellent presentation skills
Budget management and reporting experience for mid to large enterprise projects
Experience in project estimation and vetting vendor estimates as well
Experience working with global project team
Ability to travel up to 25% (on hold)
Desired Requirements:
PMP Certification
MS 365 experience, i.e., Teams, Sharepoint
Experience with IT Ticketing Management, Jira is a plus
