Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work certification, is currently searching for a Customer Service Representative/Coordinator to be based out of our New Bedford, MA facility. Reporting to VP/GM of Prewired-Modular Devices, the Customer Service Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all current customer service activities within inside and outside sales.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Provide customer service support to inside sales.

  • Complete and respond to quotes per customer request when needed.

  • Enter received orders.

  • Calculate and enter production totals and run production reports.

  • Create, ship and verify bill of ladings.

  • Experience with JDE and creating orders

  • Review and receive raw material invoices

  • Prepare purchase orders

  • Organize and maintain records of invoices, trucking information, etc.

  • Provide support to operation management as needed including supervision of staff as needed.



Qualifications include:



  • Minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or related experience within a metal fabrication industry required.

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

  • Must be self-motivated, resilient, articulate, persuasive, and comfortable with speaking to customers, result driven, persistent and action oriented.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Ability to organize and multi-task numerous activities but remain immediately available for incoming calls when required.

  • Possess strong coordination, scheduling, and detailed note taking skills

  • Excellent communication skills within all levels of the organizations



  • Experience working with teams which support and drive company values and initiatives from an individual contributor level.
