This position is responsible for supporting the requisitioned transportation from freight carriers to plant products by performing the following duties.
Job Description
Contact carrier representatives to determine Estimated time of Arrivals (ETA), weights and other pertinent information.
Trace and audit scheduling and repack.
Relay shipping information to customers and co-workers.
Complete and track paperwork for inbound and outbound truck and rail loads with extreme accuracy.
Process transactions in warehouse management system with extreme accuracy.
Damage
Putting product on hold and taking it off hold
Change orders
Checking driver's in and out
Inbound & Outbound product
Maintain rail car movement and logs with extreme accuracy.
Prepare standard reports, gathers and summarizes data.
Run next day orders and hang on order board
Run pick sheets for orders.
Uploads pictures from camera onto computer prior to shift change
Provide excellent Customer Service to drivers, vendors, employees and customers by cordially greeting them, answering questions, resolving issues and being helpful in any other areas.
Maintain Miscellaneous logs - pallets, detention, etc.
Maintain orders & process inbounds
Receive funds from drivers and process in system
Timely release railcars in the UP system
Maintain dock scheduling - enter in time of arrival, loading and departure
Enter into the system the product code and understand its importance to shipping FIFO and inventory management.
Perform other clerical tasks such as typing, faxing, copying, e-mail correspondence, filing, answering phones, communicating over the radio and 10 keying.
Understand the importance of maintaining accurate inventory in the system
Correspond through email, phone and fax with Corporate office, vendors, customers and team members.
Work with warehouse personnel and leadership to support the efficient flow of product.
Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times and exhibit good personal hygiene.
Ability to work overtime when needed, stay over and come in to cover other shifts.
Support all other departments as needed.
Actively engage in safety, participate in safety programs, safety activities, and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety of other team members. Report all incidents, near misses, and any safety concerns.
Job Qualifications
Ability to read and write in English.
Ability to learn Inventory software (ASCTrac) and knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel).
