The ideal candidate is responsible for identifying and executing long-term merchandise strategies that support the Company’s brand and financial objectives through product development and selection.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and drive business strategies that meet or exceed financial goals and customer expectations.


• Identify new business opportunities and risks.


• Manage, motivate, and foster creativity in the Buyers guiding them in product development and selection, and aid in developing product assortment plans.


• Financial management and analysis of the division’s sales, inventory levels, markdowns, receipts, gross margin, and turn.


• Create and/or modify existing processes and tools to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the merchandise team and the entire organization.


• Stay updated with the competitive marketplace and develop meaningful relationships with all key players to ensure that the company is exclusive with innovative products.


• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma.


• Bachelor Degree / College Degree preferred. 


• 5 years of related experience preferred. 


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.


• Knowledgeable of Windows-based computer applications (Including Microsoft


• Word, Excel and Outlook).


• Ability to work as a team on projects.


• Professionalism.


• Ability to travel between stores.


• Planning, time management and organizational skills.
