Position Summary


J. J. Keller is hiring for Corporate Mailroom Support to work in our Distribution department! The Corporate Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for operating various machines in our Mailroom to ensure Marketing materials are shipped to our customers accurately and efficiently. The work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. M-F.

 

J. J. Keller is the trusted source for DOT / Transportation, OSHA / Workplace Safety, Human Resources, Construction Safety and Hazmat / Hazardous Materials regulation compliance products and services. Our Distribution department is responsible for ensuring our clients get their compliance products in a timely manner while managing shipping/freight costs.


Position Summary


This position is responsible for operating mail equipment to fufill business needs in an accurate and timely manner.  


Job Responsibilities



  • Schedules inserter workflow to provide optimal productivity based upon availability of components and urgency of mailings.

  • Operates inserting equipment to fulfill mailing requests.

  • Sorts bulk mailings to Postal standards both manually and from data files.

  • Labels and manually inserts mailing materials.

  • Processes DCMS and CSSR requests.

  • Picks up and delivers inter-departmental mail both internally and outside the facility.

  • Advises leader of any equipment problems or opportunities.

  • Works overtime on short notice.

Qualifications


Education:


  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience:


  • 1+ year of mailroom experience preferred.

    • Experience working with printing machinery preferred. 



  • Experience operating lift truck and other material handling equipment preferred.

  • Experience working with warehousing software applications preferred.

Other Skills/Qualifications:


  • Ability to lift 60-pound boxes.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to operate lift truck and other material handling equipment.

  • Manual dexterity skills.

  • Basic math skills.

Physical Requirements


Work is performed primarily in a warehousing (industrial production) environment and may involve exposure to high noise levels, material handling equipment, and other industrial machinery. Work will require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection and steel-toe footwear.
