This company markets under both the Clima Flex in Latam and Comfort Flex brand in North America.

Position Summary:

We seek to add a Regional Equipment Sales Manager to direct and coordinate the sale of "Comfort-Flex" branded equipment in North America. In this newly established role, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the organization's long-range strategic planning to ensure growth of sales of these critical products through our rep network. As a key member of the Sales, Service, and Aftermarket Team, the Regional Comfort-Flex Equipment Sales Manager will be charged to advance Daikin's "Fusion 25" Strategic Plan, which focuses to "Enhance Existing Businesses and Expanding New Business Domains." While the company has achieved significant organic and acquisitive growth having targeted independent distributors and regional service companies, the successful candidate will expand our offering of Comfort-Flex products in the U.S.

The role reports directly to the Latin American (LATAM) Vice President of Sales, and dotted line to the General Manager of the Clima-Flex manufacturing site in SLP. We would like the candidate to be based on the East Coast, with flexibility to work from home, but are open to other options based on the right candidate's work experience and expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide Comfort-Flex Sales leadership of modular Chillers, Air Handling Units, and Fan Coils to manufactures' Sales Representative.
  • Provide feedback to the VP-LATAM Sales and GM Clima-Flex relative to market sales trends and sales representative's product needs.
  • Coordinate all meetings with sales representatives and related contacts critical to the sale of Comfort-Flex products (Engineering firms, Contractors, Daikin Applied Service, etc.)
  • Provide sales forecast for region of all products.
  • Meet and exceed prescribed sales targets for the assigned regions.
  • Provide training as needed in support of product sales.
  • Interact and seek assistance from Product Sales Managers, National Accounts Mgrs, Solutions Sales Managers and Regional Operations Manager

* Evaluate proficiency of Manufactures' reps relative to maintaining product line sales balance.

* Interface with various support groups of Daikin and Clima-Flex factory to ensure appropriate support to all Sales channels, Clima-Flex aftermarket and Parts.

* Provide communications to support groups relative to market/industry trends in relationship to price, product needs, quality as well as training/development and compensation needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The position may require a great deal of influence of peers and others within the sales process. May directly supervise sales support personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and ten+ years related sales experience and leadership in support of sales. Five or more years of related sales within the industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; 10+ years of related HVAC product sales. Previous experience supervising sales professionals or a leadership experience within the industry. Proficiency in SalesForce.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
