Engineering Manager - Wauna, OR

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Managerto join the team at our Wauna facility in Clastskanie, OR. The person in this role is responsible for leading the engineering team to develop the long-range capital strategy and support reliability improvement plans for the facility.

Wauna is located on the Columbia River and is centrally located near the beach and mountains with several forms of outdoor recreational activities. Wauna is within an hour drive to Portland, OR offering regional attractions and forms of entertainment.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Building EH&S excellence through the application of a Risk Management System

• Applying MBM Framework, Operations Excellence Model, and select mental models to improve Wauna's competitive position

• Actively developing and leading a team of Engineers

• Developing and managing the annual and multi-year capital plans

• Attaining and sustaining a reliable state of mill infrastructure, buildings, and grounds

• Expanding and refining in-house technical capabilities

• Demonstrating commitment to safety and regulatory compliance

• Contributing as a member of the site's Leadership Team

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related technical field, OR five (5) or more years of maintenance or engineering experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• One (1) or more years of experience as a supervisor with direct reports

• Five (5) or more years of Engineering or Maintenance experience

• One (1) or more year of project management experience

• Experience working within a pulp and paper manufacturing operation

• Experience working in a union environment

• Experience as an Engineering Manager within a continuous manufacturing operation
