What you'll do

We are looking for a Product Manager within SAS' Fraud and Security Intelligence Division. As a solution product manager, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and you will direct and manage the development of market requirements, solution vision, roadmap, messaging and competitive intelligence for SAS's fraud products and offerings. You will work directly with software designers and research and development to design and architect for our watchlist/sanctions screening offering. We are seeking candidates with knowledge of Economic Sanctions Regulations (global), Payment Message Methods (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.), Financial Institution Economic Sanctions Operations, Watchlist/Sanctions Screening Technologies, and Case Management.

You will:

    Be a subject matter expert on sanctions regulations and requirements for the Division.
  • Be the point of contact for R&D, Testing, Support, Delivery, Pre-Sales and Project Management for product direction and vision.

  • Balance customer requests for features and enhancements alongside solution defects and platform requirements, keeping all key constituents updated when changes impact timelines and content.

  • Define and prioritize product requirements based on business drivers, customer inputs, market direction, and field contribution.

  • Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Define user personas and write use cases.

  • Collaborate with R&D & Testing to schedule software release content and dates.

  • Work with customers and field teams to address varying types of product troubleshooting and escalations.

  • Partner with Marketing to plan and execute product launches. Responsible to facilitate a knowledge share of new features and enhancements delivered within a release to multiple key stakeholders in varying formats.

  • Present/Keep updated product vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal constituents, customers, press and analysts, etc.

  • Identify new market opportunities and evaluate emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or threats to the company.

  • Serve as a champion (subject matter expert) by analyzing external market trends, competition, opportunities that impact the user and capabilities of the platform.

  • Interact directly with senior leadership teams across SAS to drive this initiative.

What we're looking for:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field(s).

  • 5+ years of experience directing and managing Economic Sanctions (Screening) Detection and Investigation Operations or Economic Sanctions Management Oversight for a top US or Global Financial Institution.

  • Experience with one or more Economic Sanctions Screening Solutions (i.e. Fircosoft, SafeWatch, etc.) or another enterprise analytics software provider.

  • Experience with Payment Message methods and systems (SWIFT, SEPA, etc.).

  • Experience managing relationships with our development partners and customers at technical, management and executive levels, especially in escalated situations.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated history of making good decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment across multiple business units.

  • Ability to innovate and define creative solutions with compelling user experiences that exceed customer expectations.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, as the job requires.

  • ACAMS - Certified Global Sanctions Specialist

  • Master's in Business, Criminal Justice, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field(s)

  • Experience with SAS programming and/or SAS products

  • Experience in product management, product marketing, R&D, and/or technical sales support within the technology industry

  • Thorough working knowledge of enterprise bank platforms

  • Industry experience building and designing case management solutions

  • Strong technical understanding of web-based solutions, XML, platforms and mobile Apps

  • Experience working in cloud-based technology environments

  • Experience with design thinking at an end-to-end solution level
