TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Manager - Compensation in Alpharetta, GA.

The Compensation Manager will oversee the design, analysis, and administration of TK Elevator's compensation programs and HR reporting, including: highly complex incentive plan design, modeling, and payment calculations; base salary structure design and analysis; job evaluation and market pricing; annual Merit administration; salary survey participation; and HR metric analysis. The primary objectives will be to ensure the company's compensation practices 1) align with its business goals and strategies; 2) are competitive, equitable, and legally compliant; 3) attract and retain top talent, and 4) motivate employees to achieve the company's short and long term goals.

Essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Manage team of senior compensation and analytics professionals, providing performance management, mentoring, and oversight

  • In collaboration with the Incentive Analytics Expert, own the full lifecycle of all short-term incentive plans: design, analysis, communication, and administration

    • Partner with senior leadership to design 15-20 incentive plans

    • Gain stakeholder buy-in, collaborate with Legal

    • Coordinate financial modeling, assess business impact of current plans

    • Oversee complex incentive calculations, accruals, and payouts

    • Collaborate with Finance to track KPIs and assess effectiveness of incentive plans



  • Head the IC Governance Committee and hold quarterly meetings

  • Ensure new and current jobs are accurately evaluated and graded

  • Collaborate with HR partners in the annual performance review and Merit administration

    • Provide guidance on increases

    • Oversee calculations

    • Communicate process and results



  • Manage the approval process for off-cycle pay increases and exception requests

  • Represent the Compensation department in the ongoing implementation of the SFEC/SAP Compensation Module

    • Assist external consultants in the integration of company salary structures and incentive plans

    • Participate in user testing



  • Review and design formal policies and procedures governing compensation practices

  • Oversee and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure company's compensation practices align with its philosophy, comply with guidelines, and achieve business objectives

  • Oversee survey participation, validating matches and ensuring accurate and timely submissions

  • Ensure market competitiveness through annual compensation benchmarking to multiple external surveys; analyze market ratios and advise on equity adjustments

  • Oversee and conduct HR metric analysis/reporting for CHRO and Global HQ

  • Partner with Global and Local HRIS to ensure effective data capture and reporting functionality

  • Research and advise on compensation best practices and governance: pay equity, promotions, merit, salary structures, incentive design, etc.

  • Partner with HR to ensure compliance with compensation governance; communicate and enforce policies

  • Responsible for the company's JD library: ensure JDs are accurate, relevant, and up to date distribution of plans.

What we look for

  • 10+ years' experience in compensation analysis and administration

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Finance

  • Expert user of Excel: able to analyze large datasets using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts; summarize results; and translate into clear action items

  • Advanced user of PowerPoint

  • Subject matter expert on compensation principles and best practices

  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, with the utmost tact and discretion

  • Proven ability to work and create effective partnerships with executives and business leaders across multiple functions and teams

  • Must be able to handle highly sensitive data with the greatest degree of confidentiality

  • Keen attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CCP

  • PHR / SPHR

  • MBA

  • Experience with SFEC / SAP

  • Experience using Mercer and/or Culpepper compensation modules

  • Experience modeling incentive plans

  • Experience with ERP implementations
