Babcock and Wilcox Construction Co., LLC is seeking a Night Shift Piping Superintendent for a jobsite in Monaca, PA. This position will report to a manager from Great Arrow Builders LLC (GAB). GAB is a consolidated joint association formed to support direct hire construction work for the Pennsylvania Chemicals Project (Petrochemical Facility).
Role Overview:
The Piping Superintendent is responsible for oversight of construction craft performing piping installation and testing and executing work assignments in accordance with Work Face Planning and established schedules.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinates multi-discipline craft activities within a specific area of the project or all related crafts of a single discipline covering one or more areas of the Project
Directly responsible and accountable for the UG Piping installation ensuring installation is in accordance with established plans, procedures, engineering, schedules, and productively performed in accordance with established unit rates
Responsible for jobsite operations including onsite activities of GAB, subcontractors, suppliers, and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility
Responsible for the field piping workforce organization to ensure the jobsite organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilization
Establishes, coordinates, and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements
Controls jobsite expenditures in assigned are for labor, equipment, material and services, and ensures field operations are within budget
Responsible for overall supervision of Piping personnel in assigned area of responsibility
Responsible for supervising and managing piping superintendents as directed by Area Superintendent
Ensures the Zero Accident Philosophy is incorporated into all aspects of construction operations. Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings
Establishes Union craft resource requirements for all work performed. Fills out all Labor request forms and other project forms and request related to discipline that may be required material withdrawal requisitions MWR's etc.
Candidate must possess knowledge and experience in:
All phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and jobsite management.
Extensive knowledge in planning and installation of piping.

This position is a full time, contracted (~4-6 month assignment), hourly position that operates in the field on a jobsite
